Add Ultra Low Power WiFi Using UART AT Command Set

Silex has released a new version (12.2.x) of our UART AT Command Set for Qualcomm's Ultra Low Power WiFi IoT Soc QCA4010. Our new product is called SX-ULPGN-EVK-AT. The SX-ULPGN-EVK-AT is an evaluation kit for our SX-ULPGN module based on the QCA4010. 

Using our new SX-ULPGN-EVK-AT, customers can quickly evaluate our AT Command Set. They can add a serial-to-Wi-Fi converter for their existing MCU based designs without porting any host driver. SX-ULPGN can offload the host MCU by performing all of the Wi-Fi related tasks such as low power WiFi network stack, security, and authentication.

Silex Adds Dual Band Functionality to its 802.11ac PCIe Card

Silex has recently added dual band functionality to its 802.11ac PCIe Wi-Fi card. The SX-PCEAC-DB is now an 802.11ac compliant dual-band 3x3 PCIe Mini Card. It is based on the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9880 chipset, designed to deliver wireless data rates of up to 1.3Gbps. It targets home and enterprise wireless access points, offering reliable wireless performance for a variety of bandwidth-intensive video-over-wireless applications.

SX-PCEAC-DB card gives customers the ability to easily and reliably support applications where this extra bandwidth and performance is required, like deploying HD video over Wi-Fi. Applications include commercial AP, routers, gateways, large-size printers, video devices, medical devices etc.

[JASDAQ (6679)] announced last week in Japan that Murata Machinery Ltd.’s (Muratec) completed the successful tender offer for its common stock. The successful bid, coupled with subsequent transactions that will allow Muratec to acquire all shares of Silex Technology making Silex a wholly owned subsidiary of Muratec, a private Japanese-held company.
