Management software is an important piece of the equation when looking at networking equipment so you can efficiently configure your product. More importantly, once it is on the network, you'll want to have a robust way to remotely monitor and manage all of your devices, especially if you have a lot of them. A good management software can allow the network administrator to easily manage a large fleet of devices on the network from one computer remotely. Last month, Silex launched our AMC Manager software for this purpose.
Reaching certain locations with wired network connections can be difficult and expensive. Today, wireless can connect most devices with ease; however, many devices do not have a wireless connection. Ethernet to Wireless Bridge products can allow these devices to connect to wireless networks, but many of these products are designed for home or small business use, not for the enterprise.
